Dr. Eugen Jonas studied medicine and graduated from the Comenius University in Bratislava and he passed special examinations in psychiatry at the Charles University in Prague.
He worked at several psychiatric clinics, he worked as a senior consultant as well as a court expert.
Dr. Eugen Jonas
Dr. Jonas used various innovative therapies and trainings (for example musicotherapy) during his psychiatric practice in order to acquire the variety of therapeutic processes of his patients and thus the best efficiency of therapy.
He engaged intensively in trainings with his colleagues which are based on yoga. Apart from basic breathing exercises, he also practised further exercises as a headstand or a neck stand which had a positive impact not only on breathing and circulating system, but also on glandular organs (as for example a thyroid) which have been confirmed by ECG examinations and by radiographic pictures.
They pursued the influence of these exercises among psychotically ill patients as well as among healthy people in the study. The patients participated in this method of therapy voluntarily without the difference of diagnoses (schizophrenics, paranoids, neurotics, etc.). An individual plan was drawn up for them after thorough internal examinations and the improvement of state of health used to come after 3 weeks of exercises when the dosage of medicaments could be discontinued or modified.
The second group of trained persons were students several weeks prior to a secondary school-leaving examination. The positive impact of these exercises began to be manifested after 3 weeks among them which they described as the special state of peace, no feeling of stage fright (related to the secondary school-leaving examination) which was their biggest problem prior to the exercising.
The progress and the results of this study have been sent to the Research Institute of Psychiatry in Prague (Výskumný ústav psychiatrický) (prof. Dr. L. Hanzliček, DrSc.) as well as to other foreign institutes, for example: prof. H. Kleinsorge who was a senior consultant of Psychiatric Clinic Schwerin, former DDR, he has also published them.
Dr. Szabo, Dr. Jonas
He has made the character of 12 types of people from the point of view of child psychology on the basis of many years´ experience of physician.
These 12 characters will be created by the combination of individual temperaments (SANGUINE, CHOLERIC, MELANCHOLIC, PHLEGMATIC) and prevailing character types: leading, persistent and unstable type.
Further area which Dr. Jonas dealt with were biological rhythms, reasons of these rhythms and their impact on individuals, but also on the whole world.
"Statistics show that in certain periods there are disproportionately more catastrophes, disasters, violent deaths, etc. If we compare these negative phenomena, their time connection and their occurrence simultaneously at more places on the Earth, it is not possible to unnotice that the biological rhythms of individuals are subordinate to a universal world rhythm.
Nobody denies the impact of alternation of day and night or changing of seasons on organisms, a human being and the whole world. If we search for the cause and the origin of not only variations themselves, but mainly for a vitalizing source, we ascertain that it is the Sun."
Dr. Jonas put world curves together for individual years according to the activity of individual biorhythms on the basis of which he supposed forthcoming events.
World curve 2007
A simple interpretation shows that the curve positive phase (the part above the axis) indicates a peaceful progress of life, adequate weather, successes of individuals and the whole. On the contrary the curve negative phase (the part below the axis) shows a tension, inappropriate weather fluctuations, failures, fear, increased number of unnatural deaths, various injuries, accidents, increased number of problems in pregnancy, birth, etc.
When abortion was legalized in neighbouring Hungary, Dr. Jonas as a physician and the faithful person could agree with it, he began to deal with the idea how to prevent pregnancy by natural way.
He was convinced that there are certain principles which regulate fertile and infertile days of a woman, it is only necessary to find them.
On the 15th August 1956 he found out the searched natural relations of these biorhythms and this day, when we celebrate the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, he devoted his concerns under her protection.
He worked up his method of Natural Conception Control (also Jonas Method) furthermore in the following years and today it offers a wide application for spouses. From natural infertile days through the calculation of optimal fertile days, conception of viable child to the determination of gender. Its success rate is 98.6%.
At first Dr. Jonas with his team made a calculation in a newly established Research Centre Astra in Nitra, later in several other centres worldwide which are not in operation today.
He established the Centre Jonas International again in Slovakia in the 90ties and today it is the only centre where the calculations are calculated by his children for the whole world.
Dr. Eugen Jonas obtained the biggest success just in the area of conception control.
In 1971 he was proposed for the Nobel Prize by the scientists from Columbia University in New York, by professors R. Fondiller, Raby, Waksman, Shockley, Urey who are also laureates of this price.
And again in 2000 when an impulse came from Argentina, Buenos Aires, professor Carlos Velazco was in the lead.
